An athletic 15.1 hh bay Arabian mare
with a superb long stride
Born 1992. Backed 1997.
Dam of Felizja now competing with Johanna Strang in France.
Felizja placed 5th of the Europeans in the 2005 European
Endurance Championship and competed at the 2006 World
Championships in Aachen.
Franzara is a full sister to our mare Faranza, who's speciality
has been producing foals.
Zara is also a full brother to (Delorto) Zaranz who won the GB
Championship and Red Dragon in 2004. He also completed the FEI
World Championship course in Jeres Spain, representing Ireland,
and was a successful British team member at the FEI World
Endurance Young Riders Championships in Bahrain in 2005. And 2006
European Y.R.C. in Poland.
As an inexperienced 6 year old she never really enjoyed Arab Racing. Unused to a crowd of horses she was either out front or tended to drop out behind (we concluded). We switched her earlier than intended to Endurance training, where she had produced outstanding results, as evidenced above. On reaching the 160km level, her trial run produced a second place followed by three wins!
Further detail on our Endurance and Racing pages.
Now retired to stud.
Tested in foal to Warrens Hill Star for 2009 foaling.
